Statewide Voter Registration System

In 2004, the State of New Jersey began to implement the Statewide Voter Registration System (SVRS), to help New Jersey's 21 counties meet the mandates set forth by the Help America Vote Act of 2002 (HAVA). HAVA requires that all states maintain a centralized and interactive statewide voter registration list administered at the
State level.
